Tesla Electric Corp. was founded in New York City in 1979 as a full-service electrical contracting and engineering firm in the spirit of ingenuity and excellence expemplified by the great inventor and visionary Nikola Tesla.

The aim of Tesla Electric Corp., both at its founding almost 35 years ago and today, is to raise the standard of electrical installation and engineering by pairing the highest degree of skill in practice with the finest theoretical and scientific understanding of electrical phenomena.

It is this attentive and holistic approach to our daily work that has resulted in both the completion of many successful, high-profile projects and also guarantees our continued value with our clients and customers.

Ivo Puhalovic

Founder

Ivo was born in the Former Yugoslavia to a blacksmithing and farming family at a time before electricity was a common comodity in that region. Finding from an early age that he was mechanically inclined and fascinated by electricity, Ivo was in a unique position in time to witness the electrification and modernization of not only his town and country, but also the world at large.

Following his calling, Ivo attended the local engineering institute and graduated with a prestigious degree in electrotechnical engineering, before emmigrating to the United States in search of a chance to practice at the highest level.

During his career, Ivo has practiced electricity from nearly its mainstream onset to the current electronic era, making him a uniquely skilled and equiped master of electricity.

Sammy Puhalovic

The Next Generation

Sammy was born and raised in New York City as well as within Tesla Electric Corp. Realizing his affinity for enginering at an early age, perhaps amid many days spent tinkering with electricity and electronics in Tesla Electric's workshops, Sammy pursued science and engineering passionately, earning a seat a the prestigeous Regis High School, and going on to achieve a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Manhattan College.

Sammy has had the unique privilege of both studying electricity, electronics and engineering at the highest academic levels and also practicing at the most rigorous levels of skill and trade.
